Thank you Julia for my life in food

When I was growing up in Connecticut in the 50s and 60s, my father traveled in Europe and my mother watched and learned French cooking from Julia Child on television, to be able to prepare French food to match the French wines my father would bring home. This education in cooking and wine that I was raised with, thanks to Julia, inspired me to become a professional chef in CT for 12+ years during the 70s & 80’s, including a stint at the Copper Beech Inn, at that time the top rated restaurant in CT. (I was the first woman chef allowed to become poissonnier & roundsperson at that restaurant) I owe my skill, palate and love of cooking to Julia Child who taught my mother to master french cooking and to both my parents who loved France, its food, wine and joie de vivre! Thank you Julia for my life in food.
